Project Overview: Chartwell Green Orangery with Stunning Wye Valley Views

Objective: To create a thermally efficient and perfectly fitting orangery that enhances the charm of a historic property while taking full advantage of unspoiled views over the Wye Valley.

The Vision

Nestled in an elevated location overlooking the picturesque Wye Valley, Mr & Mrs McCord’s home presented a unique challenge and opportunity. Their vision was to create a bright, elegant orangery that seamlessly blended modern functionality with the historic character of their property. They sought a space that not only captured the stunning views but also delivered exceptional thermal performance and a perfect fit for their non-square walls.

The Solution

Working closely with Mr & Mrs McCord, we designed a bespoke Chartwell Green orangery that complemented the traditional aesthetic of their home while delivering modern performance. Key features of the build included:

Aluminium bi-folding doors, providing uninterrupted views of the Wye Valley and creating a seamless connection to the outdoors.
A uPVC roof system, paired with stylish uPVC windows, for enhanced thermal efficiency and year-round comfort.
A meticulous construction process to ensure the orangery fit perfectly with the historic property’s irregular walls.

Throughout the project, our team took extra care to minimise disruption, particularly as the property also served as a holiday cottage. This included keeping the construction area and car park clean and ensuring guests were not disturbed during the building process.
